Bird man
I have been printing on a variety of projects but this one is personal and fun. I just finished up with an art show and sold some. It's truly been a blast . I just finished printing half of this model for now named bird man . Just started the other half, with the print time alone it will take around 40-50 hours.

Paint Play
Well I finished up the skull for Visual Tattoo Arcata. I've been mocking up the small prints to figure out the colors I want to paint them and am quite happy with the process. These are allot smaller than the final out come. Also waiting on some white filament so I am just filling my time for now which is good. The more planning out I do in pre-production always helps. Now I need to finish up 70 small prints for my friends wedding ill be posting those soon as well.

WIP busts
I have been working on some busts of mech creatures. Goals for these guys are to create and overall style and look that is original to mine but still giving the feel of mechanical. The other goal is to successfully break them apart for 3D printing. This entails knowing what way is best for the layering of the machine and also knowing how it will project the detail. I have also placed some test prints in the slide. These are being used to test for detail and for mock up painting. It is always good to play with how you want it to look before you tackle it on your full scale model. I will talk more about this in greater detail in a later post.
3D Printing pen
This is a great toy for some but for me this is a very awesome addition to my 3d printing arsenal. More of a free form sculpting tool or additive flare to your prints. I find that everyday there seems to be a new and creative gadget or tool to add to your designing process. This one rocks!
